He was meant for you

After he co-wrote Jewel’s hit, “You Were Meant for Me,” Poltz got the chance to strike out on his own and recorded My Left Shoe, a CD that Rolling Stone gave three-and one-half stars. His latest recording, Dreamhouse includes more impish tunes from the guy who also wrote “I Killed Walter Matthau” and produced a quirky CD of 56 (official, plus bonus tracks) 45-second songs that he put on his answering machine while he was on the road. He also was named San Diego’s Most Influential Artist of the Decade. Visit poltz.com.

Songs to check out: “Everything About You,” “Chinese Vacation,” “10 Chances”
