With more than twenty years as a stand-up, Louis CK is known as one of the funniest and most honest comedic voices of his generation. Finding success live, as well as in television and film, Louis’ new FX series Louie, based on his life as a comic and single father of two living in New York City, premiered to rave reviews the summer of 2010. Directed by Louis, Louis CK: Hilarious premiered as the first stand-up concert film presented at the Sundance Film Festival. Variety raved, “Standup comedy cinema has a new star in Louis CK.” Louis was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his comedy special, Louis CK: Chewed Up. Chewed Up, and his first special Shameless, are both available on DVD, as is his original HBO sitcom Lucky Louie about the comedy found in the everyday struggles of first-time parenthood. Louis recently starred in the film The Invention of Lying alongside Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner and was seen in a recurring role on the NBC series Parks & Recreation playing Pawnee police officer Dave Sanderson, a love interest of Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler. This performance is intended for mature audiences. Thurs. 8 p.m.
